No trip to Kerala is complete without at least an overnight trip on the backwaters – one of the most relaxed and restful nights I had in the whole trip.
We had two fabulous meals cooked by the crew as we sailed along, and they also had a variety of suggestions of activities from buying some of the huge freshwater prawns to supplement our dinner (we didn’t really need the extra food but they tasted wonderful) as well as the chance to explore one of the local villages, including its basilica and meeting a wood carver, plus canoeing through the smaller backwater channels just before sunset (as well as more options including a massage).Overall great trip.
